Fees

Our annual book runs from 1st March to 28th (or 29th) February each year and our books are open year-round. Our one off annual, ‘Book fee’ (£30+ VAT deducted from a day’s work) is therefore applicable from 1st March to 28th (or 29th) February each year, irrespective of when you join or when you fulfil your first day’s work through us during this period.

We do not charge to join the books and if you do not work through us within an annual year you will not be charged.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you haven’t already done so, please refer to our Phoenix Guide which will answer any questions you may have.
Yes, when it is appropriate and safe to do so we will hold photo sessions again. Please note when photo sessions do resume, we will communicate with you on how the process will work.
If you are a new applicant, we will email you to either prompt you to complete your application if we are missing data, or, subject to your profile being completed correctly you will receive an email to let you know the status of your application. Once your application involves everything we need from you, we will start asking your availability for work within you fit the brief for. We contact you via a 'shout out' link which is sent via SMS to your smart phone. In the shout out we will write all the information you need to know including the date and location to the filming date we think you would be suitable for. You can select 'Yes', 'Maybe' and 'No' to the shout out and there is space in the comments section to add anything extra you think is suitable to let us know about your availability. Then, if you are picked you will be booked and receive the confirmation via SMS. If you are not picked for this job role, you will receive a 'release' confirmation via email. So, be sure to keep an eye on both your emails and SMS's when putting your availability forward for a role.
If you would like to be removed from the Phoneix books, please contact us at office@phoenixcasting.tv with your request to be taken off our books. Please note that we will need to retain records of any removed artistes with outstanding fees for work undertaken through the agency for the purposes of making payment (minus deductions). Artistes who have not worked for the agency at all can request to have their details removed fully.
Please refer to our Profile photo guide to help you take or select a suitable profile picture.
We do not charge any upfront fee to join our books.

We will deduct a one-off annual ‘Book fee’ for the sum of £30 (plus VAT) from one of your first payments for work completed within the annual book period. The annual book period is from 1st March to 28th (or 29th) February each year.

The annual fee is due irrespective of when within the year you join, or when you engage in your first day’s work within the annual book period. If you register or renew for the annual book but do not receive work, you will not be charged. Please note all work is ALSO subject to commission + VAT.
Whilst having a current disclosure is not compulsory to be registered with us, most productions do follow industry guidance and request our artistes hold an up to date disclosure, therefore we recommend that you consider applying for one if you haven't already.
Payment will be made electronically to the bank account that you have listed on your profile. We suggest that on average, payment will take 6-8 weeks from the date you’ve worked to reach you. Phoenix will pay out within 10 working days of receipt of your fees, the agency will make their deductions and then make payment - you will be emailed a payslip to inform you that payment is due within 5 days. It is the artiste’s responsibility to ensure account details held by the agency are current and accurate.
That is difficult for us to answer. It will depend on what productions are shooting and if you fit the requirements of the roles they require. Many factors affect artiste suitability for a role including look, sizes, location, skills, availability to name a few. Each production is different but we will endeavour to offer you work as often as we can.
